Hi,
I have a problem with DV-In recording on my VideoCamera. Everything has been working hunky-dory with my last Canon VideoCamera going from PC -> DV-In with VideoStudio.
I bought a new Canon VideoCamera recently and am now seeing some choppiness (though not a great deal) on the recording, note that there are no problems on going from VideoCamera to PC. This suggests that WinXP fix KB885222 for 1394 compatibility issues it not the problem.
I know that this is a time sensitive operation but it worked fine in the past, and going from VideoCamera to PC works ok.
Could it be that the same disk drive is now slower to access since it is fuller? It's around 70% full. Previously it would have been at 30% tops. I did defrag before starting the recording. The disk drive in question is a Seagate IDE 160Gb ATA/100 7200 rpm
If I fire up any applications during the recording process it also affects the stuttering. In task manager the CPU is not being taxed. I have 1 Gig of RAM.
Any ideas? This would be a good excuse to upgrade the whole computer, but I can't explain why it was working before.
