When I connect the cable TV RF cable to my capture card, it seems to interfere with my monitor (Dell Trinitron P991) - I get this annoying horizontal wobbling. I noticed even if the outside of the RF plug is touching any part of the PC case this happens, so I guess it's not my capture card at fault.
It's not too bad when I change the refresh rate of my monitor to 100Hz (though I can only do 1280x1024 up to 85Hz :( ), so I guess it's some sort of 50Hz mains noise coming from somewhere? This didn't happen at all with my old PC (same capture card, same monitor).
I'm pretty sure everything's earthed properly. The PC's PSU came with a grounding cable which connected to one of the motherboard mounting screws. Could it be a fault with the CATV somewhere along the line?
