I have an "Items Technology" Much TV USB 2.0 capture device (kind of a clone of this one)

I'd like to capture videos using an other program rather than TV USB 2.0 bundled with the device, which sucks.
But I have a lot of problems:
VirtualDub can't see the device.
VirtualVCR only sees video, no audio
Video DVD Maker crashes as soon as I start it
DScaler can't see the device
FlyCao can't see the device
SplitCam, which is "seen" by all above programs, sees the device, but outputs a distorted and useless video stream (why???)

Which freeware program should I use to capture from an USB device???

Why not use virtual VCR but connect your audio output source into the audio input of your soundcard? And as for your other post, if your device doesn't have VfW drivers then Vdub will not work with it. It is just as well because WDM drivers often yield a more stable and better quality capture.

my capture device has no audio output! :(
and what about vfwwdm.dll workaround? Why is it not working on my system?

It may be that the only software that'll support that device is the package included, I'm sorry to say. I haven't heard of anyone getting this thing working with VDub AFAIK.

I believe you'll find that the VirtualDub v.1.6xx WILL use WDM drivers (no need to try using the "wrap")...

Oh, if that's the case I stand corrected. I've just never had any luck getting VDub to work with any of my WDM devices.

In virtualvcr, use the up/down buttons for selecting the audio device. I have a winTV usb2 and i have to select its usb audio input every time. Yours may be similar. I'm assuming you get audio over USB.

You can check in graphedit to see if the usb audio source is listed under audio capture devices. If not, then use your soundcard input for sound.

From which window? Whic version of VirtualVCR???

You can check in graphedit
What is "graphedit"? I only see "oscilloscope" window.

I clearly remember some attempts ago audio worked and video didn't , now video works and audio doesn't.... What's going on here?
