Mpeg2 to avi?

I am trying DGIndex, sincei thought it would convert mpeg to avi. But it looks like it doesnt from loking it over, Which program would be the best to use for mpg2 to avi?

Do not ask what's best, per forum rule 12.

You can use DGIndex (part of DGMPGDec) to create AVIs. You have to serve the video into VirtualDub and then do Save as AVI from there. Read the Quick Start guide for details.

But you sound like a one-click kind of guy, so maybe you should try GKnot, MeGUI, StaxRip, or something else like that.

You can try winavi. A friend uses this all the time for mpeg to avi conversion.
