I made a divx using VDUB, divx 4.11. First I ripped using Smart Ripper, then I used DVD2AVI to separate the sound file, then I used VFAPI as a frame server, then I used CDEX to encode the sound to MP3 using Lame, then I used VDUB to encode to divx. I used a two pass divx compression. I had set the inverse Telecine because it was a FILM movie (Tomb Raider).

The result is a DIVX of adequate quality, But it plays way too fast! Both the video and the audio are playing way too fast. Help anyone please.

I tried the same file that was playing super fast in Windows media player on DIVX "the Playa" and there it was super slow motion! About three seconds per frame. Then I dragged the file over to my Compaq iPaq pocket PC and it plays correctly there! What's going on here? Why will the same file play super fast or super slow depending on the player used?

I'm having the same problem too. But I've used DivX 1.12... What to do? It's very fast @ Media Player and very slow @ The Playa...

First off use a "real" player like PowerDivx, BSplayer or ZoomPlayer. Secondly why are you using CDEX to encode your MP3? If you need a GUI then check out RazorLAME. Last, you never stated what LAME settings your using or what app your using to convert the AC3.
