I hope this is the right place to ask this. I have a few avi files that will open with no errors in WMP but they wont actually play. I can move the slider around and see the frozen video is all. When I open the files in Gspot it says I have the codecs installed and they all render fine, audio and video.
I use only FFDShow and the Matroska splitter (for .mkv only) for codecs and everything else plays fine. When I render the files in Gspot, they play fine using ffdshow (i can see them in the tray).
How do I use the info from Gspot to setup my codecs to play in WMP like they do in the render.

Also, if this helps, the files played long ago when I had a codec pack with like 20 useless codes and also, they will play now with just ffdshow in MPC. However I am sure they will play in WMP if I only knew how.....

Download the CCCP Insurgent and post a test render of the file: http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=CCCP_Insurgent
