I am making an episode dvd with 6 half hour shows that I backed up from different dvds. I plan to burn it to a DVD+R DL so that I don't have to do any compression. My question is, is
it possible to have 3 episodes on 1 layer and 3 on the other layer? Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you burn with ImgBurn in Build mode, you will have to select the layer break position. Place it at the first cell of the 4th show or on VTS_04_0.IFO, and yes, you will have 3 shows per layer. Do not burn with Nero, as it will select the LB for you, and it will not necessarily be at the right place.
Indeed, I can't understand why you want that, but it is good to place the LB at the beginning of a title anyway, as you will not notice the pause.

Thanks for the replys. That was the only reason, to avoid having the LB in the middle of an episode. This is my first time with a DL disc and in my head I was thinking that it was a better way to do it if possible.

Thanks for explaining you reasoning.
Perhaps as important as the proper layer break is the blank media you use. At this time, the only D/L media that has proved to yield consistently successful burns is Verbatim D/L DVD+R...
