Ive been using The All in Wonder series cards from ATI for quite some time and the result I have gotten are excellent! For all you Analog video needs the Original All In Wonder Radeon (AGP/PCI) will give you good result for a low price ($150 US). I capture TV straight from my cable to my PC unattened with the very capable guide + that comes bundled with it. I usually capture VCD/SVCD which is pretty straight forward with ATI Multimedia Center. If I want higher quality its possible to capture full 720x480 MPEG.

The Hauppage series of cards are pretty decent for the price but Ive had problems with the two that I own. Although they were very inexpensive it does support a wide variety of features and modes but still doesnt seem very functional. I had a hard time getting a stereo signal from my cable, and the tuner seemed to be of less quality than that which is equipped with the ATI.

Hope this helps. :)

I've got LOT's of problems with ATI drivers.
I have one Randeon 64DDR VIVO and i NEVER could get full resolution without DROP FRAMES
to WORK with i prefer some Matrox that exist around the market, they are more expensive but... THEY REALLY WORK
for "amateur" capture DC 10 pinacle is good as needed and chepest
cheers
