vlc 0.8.6 video quality rocks!

Did anybody notice how much better mpeg-4 files appear in the latest vlc? All I can say is wow. My 2-3 year old divx files look like they have been polished. Has anyone else noticed?

Speaking of VLC, does anyone else experience problems with recent VLC nightlies on Windows (namely, they don't work at all), or is it just me?

The last nightly build that works was on 11-24-06. All builds after that, when run, only opens a command prompt window, then closes seconds later.

what I like about 0.8.6 is no slowdown. I had soem wierd jam with 0.8.5. All kick ass now :D
