I want to make a backup of my DVD with Recode. The problem is DVD only has DTS and Recode does not understand DTS. With AC3 filter it can open it, but there is only stereo option available then.
So I would like to know what is the best quality method to encode DTS to AC3? Also I need to have final AC3 soundtrack in .vobs since Recode does not support external sound tracks.

Hi!The problem is DVD only has DTSAs far as I know, a commercial DVD MUST contain an .AC3 audiostream or a stereo (PCM or LPCM) audiostream.
What is the Title and Region of your DVD?

Yes, as far as I know, a commercial DVD must contain AC3 or stereo track. But I have a backup DVD which contains only one audiostream. And that is DTS.
This is what Recode says:

Why did you make a copy with DTS only?
Whatever the reason, just re-rip the original, commercial DVD and keep the .AC3 audiostream...

It was not me who made the backup.
So, what's the best way to do DTS to AC3 conversion so Recode can open the DVD?

It was not me who made the backup.I'm sorry, but based on your statement, it would be against the forum rules (Both the "ANNOUNCEMENT" at the top of the "Newbies" page and Rule #6) to provide you with any further assistance...
