This is so retarded...but how do you enable the full-screen menu controls that supposedly was added in this version? I've looked at the docs and played with the program and can't figure it out.
:stupid:

These controls were added for Mac users.

However if you use wxWidgets in Windows (default interface) and you set the non-embedded mode. (Preferences -> Interface -> Main Interfaces -> wxWidgets "Embed video in interface" is turned off) Then set Preferences -> Interface "Use interface with mouse" the interface will show up when you move the mouse cursor to the top of the screen. Now press Save and close the player.

You may also want to make a new shortcut with nothing after VLC.EXE (no options).

Of coarse the easy way was to use the non-embedded (alt) shortcut in your start menu set the mouse option and press save. The hot key for the interface is "i"

I see. Thanks for your response. I thought the full-screen controls were for all builds, and having the regular interface appear in full-screen mode for the Windows build is quite ghetto. It wasn't what I had in mind, but I hope they add something like proper full-screen controls sometime soon.
