I'm sorry to make this a new thread, but other threads have led me to believe that this is possible with Wavewizard.

Below are the steps I take hoping to pass 6 mono files created with Plogue Bidule to Surcode using Wavewizard.

1. Create 6 mono files using Plogue Bidule.
2. Add them to the Wavewizard window.
3. Create a channel mapping for Surcode.
4. Put checkmark in new Surcode Channel Map.
5. Put checkmark in "Enable channelmapping".
6. Under Conversion Batcher menu option select Surcode.
7. Configure Surcode for 6 channels & assign correct coding.
8. Put checkmarks in Send jobs to batcher & Start batcher.
9. I have no idea what to put in Preferences, so I tried
a. Put checkmark in Enable channel mapping.
b. Put a checkmark in Stream manipulation & select Merge
c. Output format = Wave PCM.
d. No other checkmarks.

Here's the error message I'm getting

"CB error on the merged/stitched output. The configuration of conversion batcher requires 6 mono streams."

There are 6 mono files in the Wavewizard window.

If I use ac3dll it works fine and processes all 6 mono files into a merged wave and ac3 file.

What am I doing wrong?

Thx.

The quick way:
1. Create 6 mono files using Plogue Bidule.
2. Open Surcode and select the 6 mono wav.
3. Encode.

AFAIK Surcode accept 6 mono wav like input then I don't understand for what you need WaveWizard for this.

How work WaveWizard with Surcode
Surcode need mono wav instead wav6chan, then Johnman make a front-end to split a wav6chan into 6 mono wav, and send the job to Surcode.
If you have a wav6chan to encode with Surcode you can:

1. Open the wav with WaveWizard.
2. Edit -> Conversion Batcher -> Surcode ... + Configure + Sends Jobs ... + Start batcher ...
3. Edit -> Preferences -> all unchecked (don't need channelmapping) but:
Stream manipulation -> Mono streams
Output format -> Wave PCM
4. Convert

WaveWizard first split the wav6 to 6 wav-mono and after send the job to Surcode.

How work WaveWizard with ac3enc
Just the inverse. Because ac3enc need a wav6chan first merge the 6 mono wav's and after send the job to the encoder. Also if you have a correct channel mapped wav6chan, you need WaveWizard because ac3enc need other channel mapping.

Indeed, it's simple and to the point. Well done tebasuna51!
