View Full Version : BeSweet Batch Processing to Surcode

I've spent the last several days searching and reading posts on using BeSweet to create 6 mono files and passing them to Surcode.
What I'd like to know is how to use BeSweet in a batch mode to pass 6 mono files created with Bidule or Audition to Surcode?
When I try to use the gui to pass a mux file of already existing 6 ch mono files, BeSweet appears to be transcoding them before passing them to Surcode.
I'm sure the command line statement is out there or a way to use the gui is out there, I just can't figure it out.
Thx.

Perhaps Question 32 from this FAQ might help?

That was one of the first places I went. When trying that command, besweet tries to create 6 mono files to pass to surcode. These mono files are not complete. Size is 52k for each file. I was hoping besweet would directly pass the 6 mono files in the mux file to surcode.
It also seems to get lost when passing the malformed mono files to surcode and surcode never executes. It comes up with a brief error message covered by the standard Microsoft error message about shutting the app down and sending a report to Microsoft.

I guess you should try wavewizard: it also has the option to pass your 6wav file to surcode - else if you use plogue for upmixing there is a mode to create single mono wavs with the recorder (see check box) - this might solve your problem, too.
The channelmapping then would be
0=l
1=r
2=c
3=lfe
4=ls
5=lr
@xbox360
I don't understand your tip: this file is already upmixed, why should he do the same process again with another method :confused:

@Daphy,
I guess wavewizard is too smart for me. I put in 6 mono files, set up Surcode as my external merging app, and click on the only button for processing - "convert" and it converts. I can't find a clear guide on using the simple functions of wavewizard. I don't want to create 6 mono channels. I don't want to mix or map channels. I'm just looking for a batch front-end for surcode.
Thx.

Here is exactly what I'm doing.
1. Create 6 mono files using Plogue Bidule.
2. Add them to Wavewizard.
3. Created a correct channel mapping for Surcode.
4. Put checkmark in new Surcode Channel Map.
5. Put checkmark in "Enable channelmapping".
6. Under Conversion Batcher menu option select Surcode.
7. Configure Surcode for 6 channels & assign correct coding.
8. Put checkmarks in Send jobs to batcher & Start batcher.
9. I have no idea what to put in Preferences, so I tried
a. Put checkmark in Enable channel mapping.
b. Put a checkmark in Stream manipulation & select Merge
c. Output format = Wave PCM.
d. No other checkmarks.
Here's the error message I'm getting
"CB error on the merged/stitched output. The configuration of conversion batcher requires 6 mono streams."
There are 6 mono files in the Wavewizard window.
If I use ac3dll it works fine and processes all 6 mono files into a merged wave and ac3 file.
What am I doing wrong?
Thx.

Repeat the same post on three threads. See http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=912603#post912603
