I've tried Ripit4me and just straight DVD decrypter, but the problem I'm having is DVD decrypter only sees 9 vts files and there are 17. Ripit4me gives the error Video_ts.ifo declares 17 VTS, and I'm finding only 9 on the disc. The disc is brand new and looks fine. What would cause this problem?

TIA

See FAQ 21 (http://www.ripit4me.org/faq.html#faq21). Make sure you are using the latest version of RipIt4Me.

The followed the faq and it made no change. That's why I posted here for help. Also using latest version of Ripit4me. I was able to burn it on my old garage computer with no problems. Not sure why I had troubles on my main computer as I never have before. Thanks anyways everyone.

Could be a bung DVD. Have you tried to clean it or exchange it? How does it go on another reader/PC?

@jmhinkle

Hi!I was able to burn it on my old garage computer with no problems. Not sure why I had troubles on my main computer as I never have beforeSounds like your newer system's DVD-ROM or burner is at fault.

You might want to try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on it. Maxell makes one that sells for approximately $10US.

You should also try re-ripping a different DVD that you've previously successfully ripped on this same system.

I just wanted to say thanks guys. Looks like I'll need to pick up a drive cleaner. I've had a serious amount of read trouble after Ice Age 2. I'm hoping it is just a dirty drive, but since it's my newest I'm becoming worried.

1) Do let us know if the DVD/CD cleaning disc solves your problem

2) Did you try re-ripping a different DVD that you've previously successfully ripped on this same system? If so, what was the result?
