... saying it's unsupported. If it's unsupported why is it trying to open it? :scared:

Isn't haali set at install for AVI, MP4, MKV, OGM and TS?
Why MOV why?!?!

There is an option to disable the error messages.

You are probably using some old version of the splitter. This message was disabled for quite some time when the code is ivoked from explorer.

Halli's Media Splitter Filter Propreties -> Options -> Interface -> Display error messages = no

Just to add to this discussion: I get these messages too, for instance when downloading a AVI file (with for instance BitTorrent).

I'm guessing that the splitter tries to open the AVI's to read the header-information to maybe generate a preview-field of some sort (wich i have disabled btw). But trying to open a AVI that hasn't been generated completely goes worng offcourse.

I think something is wrong in the code that generates the preview / bitmap of some sort. There is such a feature afaik, but disabling that feature doesnt stop the error-messages. And i've got my XP in "legacy folder-mode", so there are no fancy bitmaps of folder-options anyway, just icons.

I would like an option that prevents Haali from reading anything, untill asked for when playing a media-file.

I disabled the error messages too. They turned on at a certain point for no apparent reason... (maybe my computer is possessed by a poltergeist)
