I wish I was smart so I could understand SoX syntax. Are there any similar command line apps that can do EQ on a WAV ? I'd like to get rid of the < 90Hz frequencies on a series of files.

Also, any favorite DRC command line apps ?

:thanks:

If you are using Lame, I think there is a hgihpass, and lowpass command. I remember seeing it in RazorLame. If you aren't using lame, you can either use Foobar, or simply setup your favorite DSP effect in Winap and use the DiskWrite plugin for wave, then use your command line from there.

I'd recommend Foobar. It's simple and provides tremendous results.
Right click on the file loaded in Foobar
Choose Convert > Convert to.
Check the DSP processing box and click the button the right
In the resulting dialog box, move the Equalizer plugin into the left side.
With Equalizer selected on the left, Click on the Configure selected button at the top then set your EQ as desired.
Click Ok then choose the name and location of the output file.
If you want to experiment with EQ settings before saving, choose Equalizer from the View menu and then when you have a sound you like, choose Store Preset then load it again when you do the procedure above.

I like Foobar a lot. You can use the Winamp DSP plugin, and thus load the Winamp-VST plugin by Christian Budde

He has a lot of great FX and code

I still like the idea of a command line processor/Avisynth plugin where you can automate the whole shebang :)

Yes, I've corresponded with Christian. He's a very nice guy with some excellenty plugins and also a very talented musician. His dsp_vst is excellent. I've used it to create the freeware guide for converting stereo to 5.1. It works very well.
