Hi,

I'm trying to backup Rammstein - Volkerball, which has both DTS and PCM audio. I want to keep both since I don't have a DTS system, but it takes up too much space, which leads to a really low bitrate. Is there an easy way to extract and encode the PCM audio to AC3 and then put it back in the DVD?

Thanks in advance!

maybe IFOedit... i don't know - not had to do something like this before.

DVDrebuilder might be able to manage (also, it could lower the bitrate more gracefully than DVDshrink style programs can, so you may be able to keep PCM).

I did...

You may want to follow this guide, from Malcolm...

The process is manual, involving PgcDemux, MuxMan (much better than IfoEdit, for authoring purposes... :) and VobBlanker).

Results are guaranteed...
