Ok, so I don't know if anyone here has tried to back up Grandma's Boy or not but its doing weird things for me that I have never had happen. After I ran DIF4U, I noticed that the bitrate of the movie was extreamly low. I looked into the working folder and noticed something strange. VTS_08 which is the main movie was well over 10 GB while on the disc it was somewhere around 4.7. I ran DIF4U again and watched it work, and found that it was from PGC01 and PGC02. Both in the VTS_08 folder (inside the working folder) were around 4 GB. I probobly should mention that this version has the normal and unedited version which I am assuming are the two PGC's from VTS_08. Now why would this happen? And what can I do about it? If I just finnish up and encode this movie, the quality will be horrible. And I don't get at all how this thing could come out to be over 10 GB if the movie itself is way less than half that.

It sounds like PGC01 AND PGC02 are being demuxed. Check what vobids are used by the PGCs (in Ifoedit). If one of the PGCs (eg PGC01) contains ALL of the vobids that are in the other PGC02 (PGC02 will probably contain another seperate vobid), then deselect PGC01. Only PGC02 will be demuxed, but PGC01 will be made FROM PGC02. (and vice versa)

If however, each PGC uses vobids that are unique and don't exist in the other PGCs then demux by vobid.

hi downwardzspiral,

what you are dealing with is most likely a seamless multi-storey dvd - if you post an overview of the corresponding ifo (from ifoedit) we would definitely know what we are dealing with.

you have a few options of dealing with this titles, however the easiest is to select 'demux by vobid' for that vts in dif4u.

some other options are discussed here:
Wedding crashers R1 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=106557&highlight=seamless)
and here:

OK, so I just want to make sure I'm getting this right. I checked and PGC01 uses vobids:1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 and PGC02 uses vobids: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18. So since neither one is identical (or has identical vobids with a few extra ones) it means that I just need to select 'demux by vobid' correct? If thats all it is then thanks for the help, and I'll let you know if there is anything else I need help with.

correct a vobid demux should do the trick.

Ok, so I let that run overnight while I was sleeping, just to come back this morning to find the movie almost done, except in the error log it gives me this error: "SPU error, C:\DVD_COPY\ScenAid\Dummy\dummy-VTS8_V18_20.jpg, Display_Area width of 720 exceeds pixel width of 0" and a movie under 3.9 GB. I don't know if this still has anything to do with my original problem, but this is the problem I have now. I almost forgot to mention that vobid 018 was flagged not to be reencoded due to it being only 8kb, I have seen a lot of stuff on this forum about it being that, so I figured I'd mention it to see if it helps.
