hi
i`ve done the ac3 extraction with dvd2avi,used the besweet (gui and command line mode)to extract the 6channels mono wave to encode it in
soft encode.all channels seemed to be alright(in the preview) but
the lfe channel nearly had no sound
what can i do ?
maybe change the endode or decode settings in soft encode?
or should i change somethong in azid...??

1. how did you preview it ?
2. what was the command line ?

d:\MINI DVD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "e:\DVD2AVI_Project_file AC3 T02 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -87ms.ac3" -output "e:\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.wav" -6ch ) -azid( -z1 -b1 -g max -l 1db ) -boost( /b=5 /l=0.95 ) -lame( -b 384 )

was my commandline..
i did some testings before and everytime the lfe channelline
had (nearly) no ups and downs unlike the the other five channels(sorry for my bad english hope you understand) but i thought when soft encode is finished it will sound good but it wasn`t so
with preview i mean not playing sound preview but the channel lines in soft encode..

you previewed BeSweet's output and it sounded ok, and when you encoded it to AC3 with soft encoder, the lfe quality was bad. am i correct ?
so the problem is with soft encoder.. ?

no i didn`t preview the output of besweet cause i can`t open in winamp(don`t know why..)

let me say so: i opened the bs products in soft encode, encoded it in 5.1ac3 stream and the lfe channel was bad
cause the lfe wave stream produced by besweet is similiar to a horizontal line(when opened in soft encode[this i mean with {optical}preview])

so far:p

try :
"d:\MINI DVD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "e:\DVD2AVI_Project_file AC3 T02 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -87ms.ac3" -output "e:\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.wav" -6ch ) -azid( -z1 -b1 -g max -l 6db ) -boost( /b=5 /l=0.95 ) , and also remove -lame( -b 384 )

mayB this specifiec AC3 doesn't have LFE information...
try another AC3 input, 'cause it works for me !

i just found out that there's a problem with the 6ch mode, when openning the files on soft encode (while winamp, cooledit.. works fine).
it is now fixed on the latest exe (http://downloads.members.tripod.com/dspguru/BeSweet.zip)

edit :
Tripod servers are problematic ! you need to download the file, while visiting the page :(.
so, download the file from there : http://DSPguru.tripod.com/

btw - i don't think it will solve your "problem", 'cause it seems you're dealing with a 5.0 soundtrack.

im`going to try with another ac3 stream(im sure this is a 5.1 stream)....
