x264 Keyframe Interval & GOP Size

I just encoded a movie that was deinterlaced by megui to 23.967 from 29.97fps. and my keyframe interval and gop size was set to 300 and 30. how will this affect my video? do I need to do it over again?

How do you set them to different values, when they're the same thing? :p Do you mean the minimum and maximum keyframe intervals? (One of which MeGUI calls the minimum GOP size.) Those are fine values for personal backups, but HD-DVD and Bluray are significantly more restrictive, if you're targeting those.

yup those are the ones I meant. good thing to know it's fine, as the encode took a whopping 26 1/2 hours! :D
