First about PowerDVD, i guess actually no Nvidia user on this entire planet got their H.264 Decoder working in their own Player with DXVA (PureVideo) accelleration (wich in my eyes is shamefull), because it seemes that it doesn't use VMR9 as it's standard renderer, but without VMR9 their Decoder won't work with DXVA (PureVideo) on Nvidia Cards and the Forceware Drivers, if someone wan't to tell me otherwise go on im listening, also i have absolutely no idea why Nvidia is telling people on their site that their Purevideo Mpeg-2 Decoder is working with VMR7, but at the same time doesn't tell them that they will lose DXVA accelleration then.
Nvidia says nothing about that, DXVA in their Decoder and Driver only works with VMR9 same for the WMV accelleration it's only working with VMR9.
And yes VMR9 is useing TV Scale as standard and that will look bad on Computer Monitors to my knowledge only CoreAVC @ the moment is able to compensate this with its VMR9 Fix (or you have todo it manualy by adjusting the luma values on playback).

Also there is a Problem in Nvidias newer Forceware Driver (yes it's still in the WHQL Certified PureVideo HD ones LOL) wich will cause your Video input on VMR9 to get squeezed down this is viewable for example when you useing Nvidias own Mpeg-2 Decoder and it's Progressive Detection with VMR9, it will allways switch back and forth between a normal Progressive frame and a squeezed down Deinterlaced frame you can read about the problem here http://www.dvbviewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14533 and Nvidia didn't fixed it yet even not in the newest 97.02 Forceware Driver.

Also since some Driver Revisions (dunno exactly when it happened) the PixelAdaptive Deinterlacing in their PureVideo Mpeg-2 Decoder stoped working correctly only BOBVerticalStretch is working @ the moment, it's really time for a Decoder update it seems.

Before spreading this info on every News Website arround the Net please first give Nvidia officials time for a statement on these known Bugs and Status about fixing them in coming Driver and Decoder releases :)

Nvidia don't fix bugs with new driver releases, they just add new ones. Their colour scales have been screwed up for ages - nothing newer than 81.98 works properly.
