I have a 3½ hour video of which I extracted the audio (*.wav) to edit it in CEP. I had to split the *.wav into 2 parts; saving them as seperate files in CEP.

My objective is to combine the 2 wav files into one file; converting the final to mp3. When in the Multitrack View I highlight both files, click Edit|Mixdown to File|All Waves. At this point the error prompts:
"Mixdown is too large. Highlighted area would generate a file larger than 4GB. Cool Edit will only mix the first portion of the highlighted area. Highlight another portion later to mixdown more."

Can someone make a suggestion for resolving this issue; perhaps another application? In advance, thanks for your time and support.......

There´s a 4Gb limit derived from the header structure of .WAV files. I think in 32bits environments.
You can try to export into packets of less than 4Gb and stitch with Wavewizard.

Cheers.

if it's not set to 16 bit mixdown already, set that.

if it's still too big, try mono mixdown (2 of them of course), or splitting it.
