When I convert my AC3 file to AAC I add a delay value (correction) and then convert it. When using the MP4 muxer it automatically detects/adds your delay value too. This is kind of confusing...if the AAC file I just made was already delayed -6ms why should I have to do it again?

I think you're only supposed to do it once, either before or after.

I'm not sure what the original poster was referring to but I'm guessing the problem is with stuff like MeGUI or even without MeGUI. When you convert the audio, it will usually use the delay value encoded in the file name. If you give it the same file name as the original with a different extension, it will still have the delay value in the file name so the muxer will want to use the delay value again.
