Hi
I tried to backup from DVD onto HD (.avi) using AutoGK. With some moviese the sound follows the picture or vice versa. It is a quite nasty effect and to watch the movie is impossible.

Sometimes I also have several PGC to choose from. Does one thing have something to do with the other? How can I create good backups?
Any experience?
Thank you very much for help

Welcome to doom9 - we have a very active AGK forum. Hopefully, a mod will move this thread soon.

However, to get the best chance of no AV sync issues occurring, I'd rip with RipIt4Me in movie only mode.

Hi

thank you for your reply. I followed your advice and ran Ripit4me with success. Then I started AutoGK to get an .avi-file. During the process (analyzing source) I got the following messages:

xvidcore.dll not found
VideoSource.avi error: an unknown error occured (may be corrupt data). (error code-100)

Then in the very end I got the EXEPTION: Cannot open ...\agk_tmp\frames.log not found

To start with, I chose in AutoGK the VTS_01_0.IFO file whithin the newly, by ripit4me created folder.

No idea, why files are missing :(

Are there any suggestions?

Thank's a lot

No clues here. As I suggested, I'd post AGK queries in our AGK forum.

Hi

thank you for your answer.
How do I have to move the post? Where do I find the AutoGK forum?

Thank you very much

Hi,

For the xvid.dll not found you may have a problem with your AGK installation, deinstall all and make a clean install (nothing less, nothing more)

For the video source, the "movie only" mode of Ripit4me is needed and is equivalent to the Ifo mode from DvdDecrypter originally used by AGK.

Further more read or re-read the tutorial:
http://www.autogk.me.uk/modules.php?name=Tutorial
and the FAQ:

Maybe FAQ 6.7 or 6.8 ...

Come back and tell us what was done and what results you got. If you need more advice, :logfile: for the problematic movie.
Good luck.

Hi Did

thank you very much for your reply.

Meanwhile I have figured out what was the problem with the missing file. I installed the codex newly and whow...no more errors.
Basically I take DVDdecrypter to start with. I choose the option file and store the main movie onto HD. From there I start AutoGK. I found out that usually, if I choose two languages, f.ex. English and German, the English comes nicely, no delay here. But it is a pain with the German, or the second language. I can also try German only (but this isn't my goal :( , since I would like to have both languages). And create two .avi doesn't make sense because it uses a lot of space..
Unfortunately it takes an awful lot of time.

Do you know where this time delay originates from?

(The links I have visited according to your suggestion. Thank you)

Hi Did

thank you very much for your reply.
You are welcome.

It comes, for recent very protected movies, from small cells not always well managed by DGIndex (claimed by the R4M tean in their tutorial). So DVDecrypter cannot do it's best...

Lots of threads related on this subject in this particular section (GK-AGK).
