Yesterday i used DVD Decrypter to back up one of my older DVD's in since its already scratched prity bad. I also had PG2 (PeerGuardian 2) running and noticed when i shut down DVD Decrypter it is sending data to 207.46.20.60:80 (retrying under several IP's under 207.46.XX.XX ex[18.30 19.30 20.30])

When i block these IP's with PG2 DVD Decrypter will not close for about 5 min trying to resend data to this IP. When as soon as i unblock the IP's DVD Decrypter will close imideatly...

the process that is displayed by DVD Decrypter while its frozen and trying to send data to the IP is "Terminating Program Update Thread..." right below the start ripping button.

Anyone know whats up with this?!

Start up DVD Decrypter. Click on "Tools"..."Settings"..."Events" and look at the "Check for Program Update" tickbox. If it's ticked, untick it (the program is no longer updated, anyway).
If it's not ticked, then I don't know what the deal is.

Good luck.

Make sure that "Check for program updates" under Settings => Events is unticked.
As development has stopped with 3.5.4.0 this option ist pretty useless. ;)

I think LUK posted about this. He used Microsoft and some other "high visited" places to be sure that there is an internet connection before the program checked for updates of his own server. I guess ImgBurn also visits Microsoft for the same purpose.

Correct cynthia_old. There is a thread about it on the ImgBurn forum. I'll try to find it.

EDIT: ImgBurn post (http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=200).
