I encoded some films (x264 raw and elecard raw) and i want to mux it with aac into mp4. YAMB (v 1.6 from 2006-06-14) very long time passed between i click button "add" and yamb allow me to changhe a MP4Box import settings. I saw in task manager and think that yamb cached a hole video file (500-600Mb memory usage). How you can explain this? It's very not usefull. I tryed with mp4box'es 20061005, 20061018 (Kurtnoise13 deleted it from http://kurtnoise.free.fr/mp4tools/ ?), 20061411 builds.

1/ Yamb != MP4Box
2/ That's the way used by MP4Box (import streams first then file creation/writing).
3/ OS dependent.

1/ Yamb != MP4BoxI know it. I don't equal its.
2/ That's the way used by MP4Box (import streams first then file creation/writing).It's not usefull method. If i have a 2Gb file - i must have a +2Gb pagefile (i don't have so much RAM).
3/ OS dependent.XP sp1.

Well...if you know it then you can't say that "yamb cached a hole video file "

There are some other muxers if you don't like MP4Box...
XP sp1.
I meant, MP4Box's behaviour is OS dependent : you won't have the same problem between Windows/Linux/etc...
