Unlike win mp, mpc puts limits on zooming respect the desktop resolution, while wmp lets the window enlarge far beyond the desktop size, mpc doesnt,
This is ok, but limits are too strict, since isnt possible to play a movie xxx384 at zoom 2, would be possible to permit this by letting the window enlarge a little more?
i encode many vids with an height of 384 just because are just a little bigger of a screen of 864 when zoomed x2,
note that with wmp/mpc the max height when playing 'full window' is 374, so better to zoom x2.

Also would be nice to may zoom in pixels, insteat to use full screen-normal size and pan and scan,

and/or zoom x1.5

MPC lets you zoom in a ridiculous amount, pan/scan and even rotate.

Thanks, but maybe you didnt read my post,
mpc doesnt let to the window to enlarge more than the desktop res, not enough to zoom 384 vert res x2 at least,
and i mean that if you zoom x2 with a vid 384 vert, you get slightly less size, not x2.

and zoom and 'pan and scan' are two different things, i know i can do all with pan and scan, but zoom is faster, and pan doesnt resize the window too, just the movie,
and i fell unconfortable with full screen, i prefer to use window when possible.

Don't think you got what I was saying.

If I am to understand you correctly you want to have a window that is larger than your desktop resolution, this would mean that only part of the video was visible.

I am saying that you can have a window the size of your desktop, then zoom in giving the same effect, i.e. too much video for your desktop.

not really, if the window is slihtly larger of deskt, just a part of the window itself will be hided, not the movie.

due to title bar, menu and controls, the displayed movie is not 4/3,

i found out that at full window, with a res of 1152x864, the vid ared is 1144x744,

i think that would not be very hard to let x2 Zoom to a vid of 576x384 that is 1152x768, all my Star trek is encoded in his way....:o

Just to have the best zoom for a common format.

You can disable the title bar, menu, controls, etc. Just video with a small border with out them. Looks kinda funny actually.

Shouldn't be that hard to make it ignore them when resizing (basically just deleting code), but I just don't like the idea of changing it to resize larger than the screen resolution.

What is wrong with fullscreen anyway? Personally I use mplayer and have fs=true in my conf.

hehe, nothing wrong, but i prefer when possible zoom 200%, the fact is that i can do with wmp but not with mpc.....but wmp is boring.

I am not saying to enlarge window without limit, only to let it like deskt +32 or so, you press alt 3, and all is done, you have the movie x2, the slidebar, menus, and can access to taskbar and other windows.
