View Full Version : XviD Codec From AutoGK Package Causing Error?

I installed AutoGK v2.37 Beta, and in the process opted to uninstall my older 1.1 XviD Codec install, and let AutoGK install the 1.2 XviD that came from CVS.

AutoGK w/ it's XviD build works flawlessly, BUT when I try to do XviD encodes on my own using just AviSynth + VDubMod, the encode errors out right before the 2nd Pass begins with this error: "stats file not found."

Why am I receiving this error? I never did with my previous XviD install.

Hi,

This seems a xvid question; try encoder ->
1/ 2 pass/first pass -> more -> confirm or create stats file name
2/ 2 pass/2nd pass -> more -> point and confirm (open) the stats file name just created

1.1 I think by default creates the stats file in the root of the drive where as 1.2 creates it in the folder of the output file. Shouldn't make any difference though unless you ran one pass with 1.1 and the other with 1.2, which I wouldn't recommend. Guess you could be changing the output path between passes?

@Vu Man
This seems to be a different issue than EpheMeroN's, however in your case this thread & response seems appropriate:
