d2v & ac3 in TMPEG?

I have loaded the d2v file as Video and ac3 file as Audio (both made by DVD2AVI) in TMPEG and let it encode them into an MPEG-Stream with no prob. But how does it work? Or shoulnd't I do this because of which reason?

it is just using the ds filters, you could just load the .vob file if you wanted.
but it's faster to load the d2v, and a wav file.

where can i get the DS filters for ac3 files? i have windvd 3.0 installed, tmpg still doesnt let me open ac3 files though.

You can use Kristal Studio Pack Codec from vcdhelp.com:
