I don't know if this has been discussed before, but there is now a competent Windows version of the Mac Handbrake encoding software available at: http://www.sr88.co.uk/projects.php

Very nice actually. Simple and effective. Worth taking a look at for somebody who just wants to "get it done".
/add: no docs and needs .net2.0 - not real fast and seems to be an early version.

Hmm, all I did was unzip it to a directory and ran the gui, gave it a video_ts folder for input, an output file name, and pressed "go". It ran ok.

@DDogg
Does your directory contain only the identical filenames and filesizes as those I've listed?

Does your directory contain only the identical filenames and filesizes as those I've listed? Yep, exactly the same names. You do have .net installed? [I am thinking it may need .net2]

Yep, exactly the same names.But are the filesizes the same? I have my suspicions about the three -0- byte files
You do have .net installed?Nope.
1) I found no mention of that in the "History" or anywhere else
2) An apparently earlier version (v.0.7) seems to work fine - Don't know if it's by the same author though...

Yes, those file sizes also show 0 on my end. The app is fairly rudimentary with no docs - might be worth playing with if you already have .net 2.0 installed, but probably would not warrant installing it.

No, I won't install Net 2.0 for this - It was more of a curiosity than anything else.
Thanks for the feedback ;>}
