Hi!

First, if you want to use NERO, NERO MUST be installed BEFORE you install DVD Shrink! Likewise, DVD Decrypter MUST be installed BEFORE you install DVD Shrink!

Second, in the DVD Shrink "Preferences" settings, under the "File I/O" tab, put a checkmark next to "Enable burning with NERO"

Then, when you're ready to burn and select "Backup", choose your burner for "Select backup target"...

I'm not wanting to burn with nero, i want to beable to make an ISO image so i can shrink the dvd, i have no option for it, just save to hard disk(or burn with nero if i have installed)i should have like 3 options..(1)ISO image file (2) ISO image file and burn with DVD decrypter (3) Hard disk folder.

As I said previously: Likewise, DVD Decrypter MUST be installed BEFORE you install DVD Shrink!

DVD decrypter has been installed before DVD Shrink (ver. 3.20.15) in all attempts..sry for the confusion:stupid:

Hmm, can you post a screen shot of the drop down menu where you select the backup options? Also, have you tried unchecking the "Enable burning with Nero" option in DVD Shrink's preferences?

If worse comes to worse you can have DVDShrink put it in a hard drive folder and use ImgTool to make it an ISO, then work from there.

Not sure why -as you say- you have to have it as an ISO to shrink... to burn, yes. Most proggies can compress it from a hard drive folder without the need of it being an ISO. The venerable DVD-RB springs to mind.

Cheers,
