Hi, I've got this problem. I made subs for a movie (ASS format, using Medusa Subtitling Station) and I want to use non-standard fonts here and there. I attached the fonts to the movie (MKV format), made sure that the attachment is of the right MIME type (application/x-truetype-font), put the font name in the right place in the subs ({\fnFont name}) - with no result. I guess I'm doing something wrong and simply attaching a font and calling it name in the dialogue line isn't enough, but I have no idea what should I do to make it work. Google didn't help - the pages that could be of some use were either French or Spanish or 404. :/
So, in other words - a little help, please...?

Pretty please, anyone...?
I mannaged to attach fonts to the script using Aegisub's attach function, but I still can't display them.I tried with the font name, file name and the changed file name - to na avail. Please, please help me, I really want to have those fonts in my sub.

AFAIK, font attach function doesn't really work (at least i never managed to make it work ^^).
Are you sure you enabled display embedded fonts in mkv in your Haali Media Splitter settings ?

Yes, it's enabled.
As it turned out, I was doing everything the right way - it didn't work, just because it didn't. I've downloaded mplayer and now it's OK (even though the fonts could be a bit bigger).

Strange, I've seen lots of mkv files with embeeded fonts and working for a very long time. My guess is you are using something else to display the subtitles than vsfilter or you are using an old version of vsfilter, that's why they did not show up although you successfully muxed them in your mkv file.
You see, there's a reason people recommend the use of vsfilter for subtitle rendering.

I use the latest CCCP = I use the latest vsfilter. The only explanation I can come up with is that the stars are not in the right order. :/

You can't, you just have to add it in attchments and it'll be automatically used if needed
