some of the dvd's i copy are jittery, unwatchable, others are not. doesnt matter if it is the pc or the dvd player, they do the same. any help you can offer i would appreciate. no probs with the burning, using dvd shrink, rip it , decrypter, whatever it takes. i have ms xp, please help asap ty

Welcome to Doom9 lauramae.
I'd suggest that you get better media. Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens. Make sure your firmware is up to date.

but why does 1 simpson dvd turn out ok the next jittery, how does that make it the vervatim problem?

Try burning at a lower speed...
