"Rip" (I think) means to take something of a storage medium (like CD or DVD) and have it put into another storage medium.

TV is streaming (but I know a LOT of episodes are reruns) so all you'd have to do is capture the video and audio.

Capturing the Audio wouldn't be so hard. You could have your TV output of the audio recorded to you Line-in jack of your computer and record.

Capturing the Video could be done in VirtualDub (I think you could do the audio as well, but it's easier on your computer [and could yeild higher quality]). To do this you MUST have a capture card. You could compress your video on the fly, but, depending on your computer, this could yeild to REALLY bad quality. The best way to do this is to capture the video uncompressed (yes, you need a very large hard drive) and then compress the video file you have created to MPEG :D , DivX :D , ASF :) , RM :( , or any other format you desire:confused: .

Here's a link you might want to look at: VCDHelp (www.vcdhelp.com). Click on the Capture link on the left hand side and if you need/want a capture card read the reviews there...
