I've encoded several files using Mainconcept but all of them have lip sync problems.
The audio is off by a couple of seconds.
Now I know there are guides to fix this in vob and avi, but how do I fix this using mpeg?

I'm trying to encode a DivX avi into an mpeg1, only problem is that this is giving said problems.
If you guys know of any other encoders that you prefer to use could you share that with me.
I've got the whole night and can pretty much play around with different softwares.

On a side note, why doesn't it show Microsoft Mpeg encoder in virtual dub?

I am new to encoding but I seem to be picking things up pretty fast, so you all don't have to write a guide, just point me in the right direction, thanks ;)

Hi!

You can resynch the MPEG1 file as follows:

1) Load it into TMPGEnc

2) From under the "Advanced" tab, put a checkmark next to and then double click on "Source Range"

3) Enter an appropriate positive or negative amount of milliseconds (thousandths of a second) next to "Audio gap correct"

4) Save with a new filename

Let us know of your success ;>}

I'm trying to get my hands on TMPGEnc at the moment, the old versions are not available, so I'm downloading the XPress version, I'll let you know if it works.

The Doom9 software page needs updating

You should be able to obtain v.2.524 at:

Hi, thanks for the link, I got the app, now I'm trying to work with it but am having problems with DivX 6.2 input (no video only audio)

I've started a thread here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=898496#post898496) maybe you guys can check it out and let me know of any workaround.
