how to stick a sub to a divx

i want insert a subtitle in my div x movie.

for now i use a file (.srt)readen by my DVD player, but i would like to have the sub in the movie and not under the movie in the black band,and with the color and size I want.

any idea?

Hi!

If your subtitles are is ".SSA" format:

1) You can alter the vertical setting, color, and size in the subtitle file (It's actually a "plain vanilla" text file) and then,

2) You can use VirtualDub and it's "Subtitler" filter to permanently incorporate them in your DivX-compressed or XviD-compressed .AVI...

By using SubtitlesWorkShop with many features, you change format of subtiles like color, font, size,.. After all, use AutoGK to re-encoder movie in your Xvid or DivX what you want.

another plugin for virtualdub is TextSub, it is said to work alot better than subtitler
