Hello,
I would like to start a thread about HD-DVD authoring in Linux. There is already a guide (windows based) on avsforums:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=705146
Th result can be player on the Toshiba HD-A1/XA1.
I would like to have some software equivalent to those.
Also, in this procedure, they simply re-use the MPEG2 .ts streams, I would like to go further and maybe re-encode using MPEG4/H264, if at all possible.
I'll try start a list of usable softwares, in no particular order:
- K3b/Growisofs to burn Single or Dual layer DVD (Data DVD using UDF)
- Optional: mencoder, ffmpeg to encode to MPEG4/H264???
- merge and convert .ts to .mpg???
- authoring?
Please feel free to add/correct any of the above.
I really need your expertise on that subject!
Thank you.
