Hi All

Im a bit of a nood - so please...... any replies should be put in laymans terms..... :)

Ok, Im ripping the remake of The Omen using Ripit4me. When Ripit4me opens up DVD Decrypter I am getting a message about a quarter into the rip which reads "Brute Force Cracking Failed - There Were No Vulnerable Blocks" - I have opted to use a decryption key from another file (whatever that may be!).

Any suggestions?

Hi!

It usually means that the Region setting of your drive is different than the Region of you "The Omen" DVD, causing DVD Decrypter to use an alternative method to decrypt the DVD.

The end result should be satisfactory.

Presuming you're referring to the 2006 remake of "The Omen", I'm personally curious to know whyyou purchased a different Region release of a Title that's readily available for all Regions?

Consider getting region free firmware for your drive, if you can. See The Dangerous Brothers site (http://tdb.rpc1.org/).

Or if you don't want to patch your drive, use AnyDVD. The link is in my signature.

@linx05 - that won't help him use RipIt4Me as it closes AnyDVD down. As well, it costs $40, which would be considered excessive for the task at hand.
