I want to load and re-encode a Xvid movie AVI.
When I start re-encoding with AGK, then after a few seconds an error dialog pops up informing me:

"Avisynth open failure"
DDirectshowSource: Could not open as video or audio

Video returned: "DirectShowSource: couldn't open file D:\......avi;
The source filter for this could not be loaded."

Hmm, thats odd. GSpot is telling me Video codec is Xvid. Codecs installed. No unusual values..."
Audio is MPE/MP3

Why is AGK failing ?

I can load the avi into VirtualDubMod and cut it (but not re-encode). Furthermore the movie is playable in VLC and similar players.

So whats wrong with this ?

A few days ago I installed the new Koepi Xvid driver 1.1.2
Is this the reason? Anyway AGK shouldn't be affected by outside installations....

Well, while new xvid installations can affect encoding process, it should not normally affect dshow decoding. What's your dshow rendering path in GSpot ?

Your results would be far improved if you returned to your original DVD.
