you have to left click on your movie that you imported and drag it down and a little to the right to that gray box with the cross in it. That makes your movie the first play item. Right now you have only imported the move, until you drag it to the gray box you will get this no content found message because spruce isn't seeing anything to build a dvd from

hi Commander XJL
URGOD!
I knew it was only something simple, but many thanx - they are the ones that really irritate you.
So I now have (tried and tested) a way of backing up dvds onto dvdr in 7 1/2 hours. All the other tutes etc use TMPEG which takes ages on my meagre PIII450.

Yes, BUT you can only author 4:3 movies with spruceup. I've tried to defeat this using IFOEdit (see other posts) since the video stream is still 16:9 but i'm only succesful on pc players and not on standalone players for whatever reason. If you have a way, please tell!

Hi M8,
yes you're right and I didn't notice that. What software do you use to author and is it as good as spruce?
cheers.

DVDMaestro would be a good choice for what you want to do. Getting into creating your own vobs and using DVDWise is more work plus you have sync issues you probably won't have with DVDMaestro. But using Ifoedit is the best and easiest way of all, I posted an easy to understand set of instructions about a week ago.

you can't download maestro anywhere legally and you're not allowed to ask for download locations for a warez version on this board
