besweet doesnt process avis?

Ive been trieng to use besweet and many of its guis "belight,besweetgui" and i am not able to rip the audio from an avi. With belight i get an error saying not supported and to try version 0.21 which i also tried and it doesnt work, and with besweetgui nothing happens at all. Ive tried with many avis.
Is this just a restriction besweet has, if so what other good prog can i use to do this.

U can easily use VirtualDub to strip the audio from the avi without conversion (if you don´t want conversion).
Load the file, go to Streams --> Stream List --> select the audio stream --> Demux.

Thanks, but if i wanted to strip and convert the audio in one prog like besweet what would i use, instead of having to strip it with virtualdub then converting it with besweet.

Hi!

If you "drag and drop" an .AVI into the main window of GoldWave (not freeware), it will readily convert most audiostreams...
