Hello,

I try to see the subtitle in a MKV.
I have many mkv files with 2 audio track and 1 or 2 subtitles.
I don't have subtitle during playing the movie.
Player is WMPlayer or Zoomplayer.
I saw that if I extracted subtitle file in MKV (ssa, idx or srt) and i renamed it like MKV file, I success to get subtitle.
During the 2 cases, Haali media splitter is auto launch, direct vobsub too.
I just had message "Load true type font...", I push yes.

I don't understand why I don't have subtitle when I play MKV with all files embedded cause I see that DirectVobSub is correctly launch :'(
I succes to play it 2 month ago, but I don't remember what I changer on my pc...

I tryed on other pc, same problem...

If someone have an idea... :)

Thanks :thanks:

Haali splitter usually doesn't auto select one of the embedded subs. So click on the while icon in your system tray and select the sub stream of your choice.

Look in haali's configuration, as well, where you can set it up to autoselect.

Thanks for your answer.

Of course, I select the subtitle stream but no sub on video...
Direct VobSub is auto launched too.
If I extract the sub and I rename it in same name (*.sr) as mkv, I have the sub :o/

I'm not stupid
I already know how to configure Direct VobSub and Haali Splitter for Subtitle inserted in MKV.
It worked fine one month ago.
But now, doesn't work and I don't know why.

I show you screenshoot where I select the sub stream :)

I tried to reinstall both but no change.
I'm in WMPlayer 10, maybe is the problem ?

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

It should work fine in WMP10. Try with MPC though and see if it shows there while not using any of the renderless modes.

Maybe you changed some settings in Haali's splitter regarding subtitle handling ? Like setting "should autoload fonts" to no ?

The last version of vsfilter to work for me in WMP was 1.0.0.9 from then on there have been problems in WMP.
