i tried and successfully used NuMenu4u to convert a PAL menu to NTSC...seems to work fine(animated Menu)....being that i don't go into the process of converting PAL menus over very often(or at all)....Why would one convert a menu over from PAL to NTSC if its so difficult to convert the movie file from that and attach it to the newly created menu?I ask cause i frequently convert PAL discs ...w/o the menus obviously....and thought it would be great for a simplified app to do the menus also...or both the movie and menus combined...I came across NuMenu4u and its a great little app....but is there a guide or a simplified process to do this?...I use Canopus all the time and im happy w/ it but how would u go about attaching the created m2v/m2a file with the converted menus?Wouldn't it be cool if it were an all-in-1 process...?..:)

i do have a dvd player that plays PAL discs...I just want the knowledge and the ability to be able to accomplish this process

At this time there is no app that does a format conversion for you for the titles - i understand scenaid maybe rewritten any therefore may accomodate this.

just think of how great it would be to accomplish a conversion..all-in-one...it would be an amazing app that could do it and do it well...:)

i'd like it cause i have 3 flix w/ ready-to-go converted menus and not the know how to attach the title to em

It would even be easier if the NTSC standalones could play PAL stuff properly as it already is the other way around. So for me personally there's absolutely no reason to do format conversions. My standalone(s) play NTSC material just fine.

The conversion is rather tricky of course, because you need to convert image, audio and subs. Well maybe d3s7 can incorporate it into doitfast4u/scenaid when he finds the time.

The MAIN REASON IS my CAR DVD player can't play both formats, only NTSC... And has a lot of original DVDs owned in UK and Spain that cannot be played in my car!!!
I used to play DVD concerts and music videos on my car.

I tryied to change avisynth scripts to get PAL to NTSC conversions with BIG3 tools (same scripts used in NuMenu4U for format conversions), but sometimes the menus doesn't redirect to the chapter of the movie correctly.

The PAL <--> NTSC conversions with BIG3 tools is possible! (I do it! Including Subpicture size conversions!!!!) Actually with BIG3 tools this must be done mannualy (with very old Scenaid versions). But if Scenaid could be corrected, then format conversions could be automatically done by BIG3 TOOLS...
So I imagine that you donīt have reasons to do format conversions if you connect your PC and CRT/FLAT monitor to your carīs dashboard.......
I Don't want to pay $2600+++ again to fix this...
So, how much time I have to do PAL<-->NTSC format conversions mannually, waiting for a Scenaid fix? Most CAR DVD Players don't support multiformat playing...

There isn't really a "fix" for Scenaid... Scenaid is not broken.

What rmtaibo is referring to is an old build of Scenaid that improperly handled sub locations which just so happen to help with the method he uses for format conversion.

Please stop calling this a "bug" in the application... Format conversion is not currently (and probably will never be) supported

Sorry D3s7
I'm not calling it a "bug"
Only, I hope you can find "An Improve Chance" for my request. And received a Definitive Answer....
Maybe there are Technical & Legal limitations, or "Not of My Interest" reasons. But I'm convinced that my request is possible.
I think Big3 Tools is the best method, and could be improved in many ways.
But maybe this project was (or will) left away, and redirected to new HD/BR media and muslix64's new toy. Many people will migrate to new formats too, and maybe will abandon this excelent format and method.
I'm an expectator of this forum from the last 5 years, and observed very close the evolution from VCD to new Blue Ray and HD-DVD media and all Ripping Methods... I've learned and enjoyed a lot... And still will :-)

Happy New Year. Specially for you, MPUCoder, Eyes`Only, Zeul and all the developers and helpers of this excellent method... The method that convinced me to use.

And my best wishes for all forum members.
