I've got a serie that i want on dvd video. if i cut the intro and closing credits, i can just barely get 11 eps on one disc. the serie is over 200 eps, so i want to get as many eps as possible per dvd.

but then, the subs start with the intro, while the episode starts with the episode title.

is there a way to cut the intro from the subs as well, without having to adjust the entire timing?

i use sub workshop, virtualdubmod, tmpg enc. tmpg dvdauthor and subripper. can any of those programs do what i want?

currently i'm using vdubmod to frameserve the subs hardsub into tmpg enc, where i cut the intro and the credits from the file. but that takes a lot of time.

Whenever you remove the intro from a video then you have to subtract the duration of the intro from the subtitles and remove any subs that appear in the intro from it. You may ignore any sub that appears in the end credit as they are not likely to be shown.

i did that with subworkshop, but just cutting everything up to the episode title is no good, since the timing of the first sub is then at one minute 30, whereas the video starts counting at zero at the episode title. and manully altering all the timers is undoable.

Goto Edit Timings Set delay in Subtitle Workshop and subtract the duration of the intro from there.
