GordianKnot disappears when i open DV avi file

I am trying to open an avi file captured from my DV camera. After clicking on Open button and choosing the file it justs disappears with no message. If i replace the file with an .avs script with AviSource() inside, then no problem. I can open the file in VDM or AutoGK fine. I suppose that GK uses DVSD decoder from ffdshow cause if i disable it then produces an error message about being unable to open it. I tried several versions of ffdshow from the past 6 months to no avail.

Any help will be appreciated.

Is your DV .avi Type-1 or Type-2? I ask because Type-1 is probably *not* usable.

It's type 2 avi.

The GK source has not been updated by len0x or anyone else in 20 months, but I did download it from sourceforge's cvs server and search it for DVSD, dvsd, " DV ", and "DV ", and did not find any reference to DVSD. Nor could I find any reference to ffmpeg.
