thats my problem: i want encode some dvd stuff (.vob) to divx with ac3 (because of this i use dr.divx) in full pal resolution (in this case 720*400) but the resulting avi allways has 640*480!

i tried first to chose the hd profile than made the other settings including the resolution set to 720*400. the preview window shows then 720*400, the resulting file-size (i set this to 560mb per 45min episode) and some other stuff.

but at the end the avi file has640*480. using the "theater" profile and then setting the rest, results in the same :-(.

so my question: how to get a avi output with original resolution??
(a working "don't touch resolution" button would be fine ;-))

Maybe you have already check all this:
-Use the last version: Dr.DivX OSS 2.0.1 beta 2.
-The last codec version: DivX 6.4.0
-Load the VOB files in Basic tab. Select HD profile and Constrain to (560 Mb in your example)
-Go to Advanced tab. Enable "Automatic crop", select "Aspect ratio: Auto", "Resize filter: Lanczos4" (for instance), and then check "Resize resolution" and move the slider to the right end (that should enable the biggest resolution available without upsizing).

That should work fine...

exactly all this i made every time! (i also use divx6.4 and dr.divx 2.01b2)
and like i said - dr.divx is showing the configured resolution below the preview window "720*400"

but the resulting avi is 640*480 - shown by clicking at it in the windows status bar.
by opening the file its obvious: the initial window of the player (wmp or vlc) is much smaller then the window playing the .vob-file

Then I don't know what's going on. Try to post in Dr. DivX support page since maybe it's a bug.

I don't think it's a bug, you can't seem to make the frame larger than that.
