I have Star Trek The Voyage Home. I encoded it using MeGui and the HQ Slower profile as I do everyone movie. It seems to stutter and I can see breaks in the film...I see little jagged edges. So trying again I've ripped it to my HD using DVD Decrypter in IFO mode. I run dgindex and the film shows as Progressive Film. I can play it back in dgindex preview window and it looks good. As soon as I open it up in MeGui avisynth screen and play it back from there, I see lots of stutters. I've tried manually opening up dgindex and forcing film and I've tried letting MeGui handling it. Same thing. I have the latest Avisynth 2.5 installed.

are you encoding to/from same drive as this can cause issues - bad memory, defragment drives as this can also cause problems as parts of the file are all over the place, did you use any filters ? are you using latest stable versions of the tools ?

Yup to the same drive. I'm suspecting that may be the issue. I'll try it again but to a different drive. I ran a small test on a different movie and I didn't have the problem. I'll try a small test and see what happens.
