I have seen on some downloaded TV shows (such as 24), the station ident watermark has been blurred or fuzzed out.
I was wondering whether there is an easy way to do this? I record a lot of shows myself, and was wondering whether there might ba an easy method to get rid of this either in Xvid files or in the raw MPEG-2 files?

Some filters like DeLogo (avisynth filter, I think) are designed for that specific purpose. I don't know how succesful they are, but they exist =) Search in the avisynth usage stickies you'll surely find something.

Hi!the station ident watermark has been blurred or fuzzed out.Since it doesn't allow you to recover the underlying part of the primary image, why bother? The end result will likely be less pleasing visually than the original version...

Amateurs' work. Either let it vanish (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=880513#post880513), or let it be.

Yeah, I see your point. I'll give it a go anyway and see what results I get.
Thanks for letting me know.
