Deinterlacing

I have a quick question :

I got a rip of a movie and the rip is noticable interlaced.
Is there a way possible to deinterlace a divx ?
If so what software do i use for this ?

use NanDub or VertualDub:

e.g.: NanDub (DivX3): Video->Filters->Add->Deinterlace

or VertualDub (DivX4): Video->Compression->DivX4.xx Codec->Configure->check Deinterlace

...almost every encoding prog has an option/filters for it!

btw. read the guides first :)
