With rewriting lots of codes, DV-2-XviD 0.8 is released now!

This version includes many significant updates.


remove the ugly DOS prompt window
pack into one DV-2-XviD.exe
add a log frame in main window.
application now has a cute app-icon.
not depends AutoGK anymore. it only require XviD and Avisynth
add aspect radio auto detection. (16:9 or 4:3)
auto create temp directory

Thanks qyb, works well, simple and easy to use, like the fact that it does two pass encoding, looking forward to the version that you can set Xvid settings.

But I need more advice that how to improve quality of xvid-compressed DV picture. I'm not familiar with XviD setting and avisynth filter setting.

you can find some good information on DV processing prior to encoding by searching the forum, e.g.

You should think of an option to keep the video interlaced; many will argue that deinterlacing is not the ideal solution, because it introduces artefacts and reduces motion fluidity. A double framerate output in conjunction with a bobbing filter is desirable, too.
